Wei Luo’s plan seemed really dependent on timing and had the potential to hurt her friend. If she had arrived a few minutes later after Li Xiang had already left, her plan would have failed, which is okay because Wei Luo will have other chances.
But, if everyone else had arrived a few minutes earlier and overheard her conversation with Li Xiang when she confessed to faking the letter, her true nature would be exposed to strangers. Or, if everyone had come later, there wouldn’t be witnesses to this planned scene.
It did seem like Wei Luo was waiting until she saw other people nearby before saying the words that would upset Li Xiang the most. And it was very smart to think of a plan where the victim couldn’t directly retaliate without hurting herself first.
