Chapter 101 - “When did you first fall for her?” (3)

Huo YanXiao wanted to share all of his pre-marital assets with her. Should he die in an accident, every penny of his assets would go to her.

“But why, Big Brother?” She felt that every step she took was like stepping on a cloud when she followed him to the picture room, her hand in his.

“To provide you with a sense of security.” Huo YanXiao merely smiled gently as he rubbed Nie AnAn on her head.

When the two of them walked through the door curtains, there was an added sense of fierceness in his eyes.

He would not make the same mistake as he had in his previous life. If he died, none of them would get a penny!

The two of them sat down on the chairs. Nie AnAn had already changed into regular clothes when they left the hotel, but her hair was still the one that was done by the stylist. A little worried, she asked, “Big Brother, how does my hair look?”

Huo YanXiao gave the girl next to him a doting look. “No. It looks fine.”

Nie AnAn, feeling better, scooted over closer to Huo YanXiao and looked into the camera.

The picture was taken. Nie AnAn walked behind the photographer to look at the picture. The picture has a red background. In front of it, there were the two of them.

Her smile was sweet, and his look was that of a rare tenderness.

Walking out of the Civil Affairs Bureau, the red little books in her hand, Nie AnAn needed time to process that her status has changed.

But, Huo YanXiao has said it already, he’d give her a month’s time to get used to it.

That night, the two of them went home and everything was just like normal.

Nie AnAn, however, became uneasy when the night came.

When he said “getting used to”, that included sleeping at night as well, right? He wouldn’t have her move into the master bedroom yet, would he?

Her brain was heating up, and Nie AnAn had no idea what to do next except to pace in circles in her own room.

Huo YanXiao wasn’t home yet. After they had gotten home from the Civil Affairs Bureau and had lunch, he had left for the Qin’s Corporation again.

Right now, the CEO office at the Qin’s was brightly lit.

Qin Hai had just walked the lawyer out and handed the newly transferred stock certificates over to Huo YanXiao. He then smiled and said, “Alright, the lawyer will have it notarized tomorrow. Today is your wedding day. You should go home early to be with AnAn.”

Huo YanXiao nodded and said, “Dad, I want to join in the project at City Hai.”

Qin Hai wasn’t surprised at all, but he said to him, “That project is a bit complicated and needs a lot of dedication. If you are to head over there, I’m afraid you will be gone for AnAn quite a bit right after you got married.”

Huo YanXiao merely said to him, “That’s alright. She’ll understand.”

Qin Hai nodded and patted Huo YanXiao on his shoulder. “Okay then. I will go arrange for that tomorrow.”

After walking out of the Qin’s Corporationn, Huo YanXiao made a call. “Keep an eye out. The pharmaceutical company belonging to the Qin’s should be making a move within the next few days.”

The reply came quickly from the other end. “Boss Hua, we have gotten work back from our team that the company had successfully developed some new drugs about a week ago. We are uncertain what exactly they are used for.”

“Okay, I got it.” A sense of killer-intent flashed through his eyes.

When he arrived home, it was already 9 o’clock at night. Huo YanXiao walked upstairs and saw Nie AnAn on her cellphone inside of her bedroom.

“AnAn.” He walked over to her. “I’m sorry I came home so late.”

“It’s alright, Big Brother. I know your work is important,” said Nie AnAn as she gave Huo YanXiao a sweet smile.

“AnAn, I am leaving on a business trip tomorrow.” Huo YanXiao carried on. “There is something that I want to talk to you about.”

His solemn look made Nie AnAn nervous, but she nodded at him anyway.
