Chapter 64 - Father and Son Meeting

“We don’t know yet,” said Father Nie. He sat down on the couch with the envelope before opening it up. His palms were sweating.

When Father Nie pulled out the report, Grandpa Nie anxiously went to look for his reading glasses.

The three of them gathered around and quickly looked at the result.

“The result of the DNA analysis supported that sample 1012-N as the biological father of 1013-F.”

The three of them read over it three times, and it was complete silence inside the massive living room until, finally, Mother Nie’s excited voice broke the silence. “Oh my lord!! AnAn really is my little wadded jacket! The little wadded jacket that we lost a lot of time ago!!”

“Quick! Give ChengFeng a call and have him bring AnAn back!” said Father Nie!

“ChengFeng doesn’t even know he has a sister. After that fire, ChengFeng had a high fever and had forgotten everything else before that,” said Grandpa Nie, reminding the other two.

“Oh, that’s right. We need to first let ChengFeng know that he has a little sister,” said Mother Nie as she picked up the phone and was about to call up Nie ChengFeng.

“No, this is a serious matter. We must tell him in person,” said Father Nie.

“Okay, then you call and have him come back right now!” Mother Nie was so shocked that she wasn’t even thinking straight. “Do you think we should just tell this to AnAn? Would she be shocked or blame us for not taking care of her all these years?”

“Well, maybe we should wait till she comes over tomorrow and test the water first?” suggested Father Nie.

“Okay, we will test the water first. We will drop a bunch of hints about how much we have missed her all these years!” nodded Mother Nie.

At the Nie’s Building, Nie ChengFeng had just finished up with a meeting and saw his father’s call as soon as he walked out of the conference room. He picked it up. “Dad?”

“ChengFeng, we need you to come home right away,” said Father Nie with the most serious tone.

Nie ChengFeng frowned, “What happened?”

“We will tell you when you get here,” said Father Nie and hung up the phone.

The call made Nie ChengFeng feel very unsettled, so he talked to his assistant quickly before he left the office.

The moment that Nie ChengFeng arrived at the Nie’s residence, Huo YanXiao also received a phone call.

“Hi.” The man on the other end of the call was cold and solemn. “I am Qin Hai. I would like to meet up with you.”

Huo YanXiao pursed his lips a bit and said, “Sure.”

“I have time right now. If this is a good time for you, we can meet at LinJiangGe.”

“Alright,” replied Huo YanXiao.

He retrieved a recording pen from inside the drawer, talking a little with his assistant, and headed directly to LinJiangGe.

Qin Hai had reserved a private room already. He gestured at Huo YanXiao when he saw him walking in, “Have a seat.”

Qin Hai was a little over 50 and was quite well maintained. He had gained a lot of weight in his middle age nor were there a lot of similarities between him and Huo YanXiao.

But, should anyone walk in right now, they’d notice how similar it was the way they were looking at each other.

Qin Hai looked Huo YanXiao up and down and didn’t beat around the bush. “I saw the news on the web. You were the one who leaked it, right?”

Huo YanXiao wasn’t surprised that he figured that out. Nodded, he said, “That’s right.”
