Chapter 65 - He was just a scum who provided his sperm. And he was his father just because of that? (1)

Seeing that the men had left, the residents of the building slowly returned.

Da Bao's grandmother and a few others walked toward them and said, “Xiao Su, I know that you are trying to clean up your acts, but that won’t be an easy task. It’s kind scary to have these events happening now and then. It’s scary for us and unsafe for you to continue living here too, am I right?”

“Exactly, Su Ran. You are not safe and neither are us.”

“Mom, I am going to head inside first.” Hearing all these people talking at the same time, Su Han didn’t want to deal with it and decided to head back inside of the house first.

Su Ran: Wait.

Did she hallucinate just now? She seemed to have heard Su Han calling her “Mom”?

While Su Ran was still surprised by the way that Su Han had just referred to her, she was surrounded by a few middle-aged women.

“Su Ran, we didn’t want to kick you out, but our lives need to go on as well.”

“Exactly, I have a bad heart. What if one day….”

“Don’t worry. These men won’t be back again. Plus, we will be moving away shortly,” said Su Ran to these people after hearing what they were saying.

She had made that decision a while back. She should be able to buy her own apartment after she had finished Yu LeLe’s album and they’d be able to move away then.

Su Ran has always been the type who could live just about anywhere.

That being said, their place right now was a bit on the small side. Not to mention, Su Han was a boy and the 1-bedroom, 1-bath apartment was a bit small for the two of them.

After the middle-aged women exchanged some looks among each other and scattered, Su Ran went inside the apartment.

Su Han was cleaning up the mess inside.

“Don’t worry about it now. Let’s clean up tomorrow.” Luckily, there was nothing worth money inside except for a few old pieces of furniture.

Having said that, Su Ran took a look at the door that was beyond saving.

“I’ll have someone put in a new door tomorrow. You go to bed now.”

“Oh.”

Su Han seemed particularly docile today.

Watching Su Han, who walked docilely into his room, Su Ran had a lot of complicated emotions.

Nevertheless, Su Han walked back out of the room with his pillow and blanket in tow.

“You take the bedroom today. I’ll take the living room.”

The next day at school

“Han-ge!” Over at the school’s front door where it was already empty, Liu YangYang spotted Su Han crossing the road immediately and was even a few steps behind him.

“Haha, we make such a good team. It’s like we coordinated with each other to be late at the same time. Did Han-ge also feel that Lao Wang’s classes are boring?” said Liu YangYang as he ran over to Su Han as though they were the best of buds in the entire universe.

Su Han: Ho Ho. Who coordinated with you?

All he did was take a look at the door that was half-hanging from the door frame and couldn’t even be locked. It bothered him so much that he had attempted to fix it.

Luckily, Su Ran had stayed up all night working on the songs for Yu LeLe’s album. Once she had fallen asleep, it was almost impossible to wake her.

Had she known that Su Han skipped an entire class to get the door to a state that it can be locked, she’d most likely want to beat him up.

Liu YangYang didn’t feel particularly awkward even though Su Han didn’t respond to what he had said.

“Han-ge, Han-ge!” As though he had suddenly thought about something, Liu YangYang grabbed Su Han excitedly and asked, “So tell me, was that really your mother who was here yesterday?”

“Who else could she be?” Su Han answered his question with a question.

When Su Ran was brought up, the corners of Su Han’s mouth lifted a little without him even noticing that.

“Oh, my god! My Han-ge! I am so envious of you!”

“What’s there to be envious about?” asked Su Han in a nonchalant but arrogant tone.

What’s there to be envious of with that woman? Eh, alright, her performance hasn’t been too awful lately.
