Chapter 102 - For the sake of their future, she was willing to suck it up and sacrifice herself (3)

As she looked at the recent profit of her company, the corners of Fang JunRong’s lips lifted upward. The cost of making the Beautify Pills was not high. The most valuable ingredient was the spring water from her dimension. Had they not gone with hunger marketing and did not release too much products onto the market, they would have made even more money.

After a quick discussion with Xu WeiWei, they have decided to make available 10,000 boxes online every Friday.

She posted that on Weibo.

[My daughter comes home on Fridays and that is the happiest day of the week for me. So 10,000 boxes will be available every Friday at 7 PM. First come first serve.]

The netizens who read this Weibo post were both happy and envious. Under the comment sections, there was a string of envious remarks.

[So envious of Boss Fong’s daughter. Boss Fong is like a slave to her daughter. 80% of her posts on Weibo have to do with her daughter. Can her daughter go home everyday so Boss Fong will be happy every day?]

[My country owes me a mother like Boss Fong! I’ve heard that Boss Fong had adopted a daughter as well. Pray tell whether Boss Fong is in the market for another one. The ones who are skillful at drawing and flattery.]

Fang JunRong, browsing Weibo during her free time, couldn't help but chuckle.

She was reminded of Zhong Yi suddenly and recalled that Zhong Yi’s birthday was next month. She could have some sort of a promotional activity on her birthday. Albeit the fact that she only adopted Zhong Yi to spite Li WangJin at first, but after spending some time with her, she quite liked Zhong Yi’s personality. Zhong Yi was the appreciative type and also good at reading others. In her previous life, Zhong Yi suffered a very tragic fate; that for sure would not happen this time around.

Happy, Fang JunRong told Xu WeiWei, “Everybody has worked very hard this month. Make a note of it, we will give everyone an extra month’s bonus when we give out the year-end bonus.”

Xu WeiWei smiled and said, “I make pretty good money. Your lost and my gain.”

“I am the one who gained with you as my right-hand woman,” said Fang JunRong.

The two of them had wrapped up the work for the day and were prepared to head home. Xu WeiWei was a workaholic and had bought an apartment close to work in order to save on commute time. Fang JunRong was very impressed by that.

The two of them chatted and laughed as they went downstairs. Right before she was about to get into the car, a tall person walked over to her.

“Mom.”

Fang JunRong had been smiling. Her smile froze when she looked and saw who the voice belonged to – Li ShiZe.

Her voice was cold. “Stop with the nonsense. I don’t have a son. I only have two daughters.”

The two bodyguards next to her were hired after her divorce. On top of that, Li ShiZe had not visited her for a while and Fang JunRong had never mentioned him, so her bodyguards truly were not aware of the existence of Li ShiZe. The bodyguard by the name of Jian Shao took Fang JunRong’s words literally.

He took a step forward, blocked in front of Li ShiZe, and said, “Mister. You seem like you are doing okay for yourself. Why do you need to be someone’s son?”

Li ShiZe was stunned. He didn’t think that his mother was still mad at him. He thought it was only the heat of the moment when she had said that previously.

He said in his most sincere voice, “Mom, I was wrong. Will you please forgive me?”

As he said that, he couldn't help but recall what Jiang YaGe looked like when she broke up with him through her teary eyes. She was so sad and so decisive. She had insisted on leaving him for the sake of his future.

Comparing that to the coldness that his mother was exhibiting toward him, the scale in his heart tilted entirely to one end. His hands balled into fists uncontrollably.

Fang JunRong knew him well. She could easily tell whether his apology was sincere or not. Her face dropped and she said, “I’ve already said that you and I have nothing to do with each other. Do you want to leave on your own accord or should I have someone send you on your way?”

Bodyguard Jian Shao added immediately, “Boss, I don’t think he can comprehend human language. I worry that he came from a mental institution. Perhaps we should send him back where he came from?”

Watching Li ShiZe closely, he asked him, “Say, which mental institution did you escape from?”
