All the melon-eaters couldn't help but give Meng Shanshan a couple of looks as they walked past her before they chuckled uncontrollably. If only her parents weren’t standing right there with her, they’d probably go up to her and pinch her on her little cheeks.
Lin Yiyi and Lu Xun, who had no idea that they had already been labeled as “parents”, had no choice but to take Meng Shanshan away with them.
The two adolescents behind them felt relieved and let out a deep breath.

When Lu Xun recollected himself, even his nephew was already walking toward Lin Yiyi’s Bentley.

Lin Yiyi’s reaction was much faster than his. “We can just take one car back and grab some dinner on our way. You can have a driver come over and take your car back for you.”
And now, even Lu Xun was pitter pattering over toward the Bentley.
Suddenly, a vibration came from inside of Lin Yiyi’s purse. She fished out her cellphone and saw a list of missed calls. All of them were from “Meng Yan”. And he was just now calling again.
The moment that Lin Yiyi picked up the phone, she keenly noticed a one-second pause from the other end, as though a big burden had been put down.
“You haven’t answered the phone all day. I thought maybe something has happened.”
She had never realized that Mr. Ex-Husband had a shred of concern for the original owner. Lin Yiyi couldn’t quite wrap her head around it.
Immediately after that, she heard him asking cautiously, “Did Little Yuran and Shanshan get back safely?”
He had let them walk out of the mansion when he was momentarily blinded by his anger, but shortly after they had walked out, he remembered the awkward location where they were at and how difficult it would be for them to find a ride.
He left with Zhang Xiying right away to look for the two of them. They weren’t able to find the children, so they returned to the mansion and went back out to look for them in their car.
As luck would have it, they only drove to where Lu Xun had picked up Meng Yuran and Meng Shanshan after they were already gone.
Meng Yan felt quite bad about picking up the kids to spend time with them then losing them.
He wasn’t too worried about them being kidnapped. He could tell by now that his son was a planner. If anything bad would have happened, it’d be to the other party!
Even so, he had placed a few calls to Lin Yiyi. Low and behold, she was at the amusement park for the entire day and didn’t hear any of them.
Well, she did, now.
She wasn’t happy after she picked up the call either. “What kind of a father are you? Letting your children run out like that. Do you even know that where you are is very remote with nothing around? How did you expect them to get back by themselves?”
That was unbelievable!

Lin Yiyi could tell when she arrived at the amusement park that her two children weren’t exactly excited from their meeting with their father.
To think that she had been debating whether or not to let them see each other.

“Then, they are home safely, right?” He was more worried about their safety than anything else. Meng Yan tried to push aside that odd sensation that he had and truly felt more relieved. “Did you come and pick them up?”
And she didn’t even bother telling him after she had picked them up. He wasn’t too happy about that.
Lin Yiyi was still angry at him for being an irresponsible father and now he turned around to accuse her?
“They were picked up by their stepdad!”
And then she hung up on him.
